Let us introduce our school to you:
We are a small school of about 360 students: primary school pupils aged 6-12, junior high school aged 13-15 and about 120 kindergarteners aged 3-6. Our highly-qualified and patient teachers are always ready to help us.
Our school is located in 2 separate buildings in Herby District: building A, on Wróbla Street with classes 1-4, and building B, on Górnicza Street with classes 5-8. We often visit a beautiful geological reserve „Ślichowice” nearby. It’s full of enormous rocks, trees and bushes.
We are proud of our modern sports facilities: football pitches, basketball and valleyball courts, sports tracks and, of course, colourful playgrounds for little kids. We enjoy spending our free time there and having fun!
Our school is involved in some important projects: „Każdy inny -wszyscy równi” ("Everybody is different - all are equal”), The Autism Spectrum Day or „Góra Grosza”. Thanks to the actions we learn how to show our respect for people with disabilities and how to help people in need.
There are 2 great choirs in our school: „Piątkowe Nutki” which takes part in a nationwide project Śpiewająca Polska and "Zespół po 14-tej” which cooperates with academic students. In 2024 they recorded a fantastic rap song about a bullying problem.
Our students really like our school because the atmosphere here is great and they can make new friends here.
About our team:
There are 4 of us. We are seventh-graders who enjoy English and are crazy about developing new skills:
- Maria Bętkowska - I like listening to music and drawing. I’m also a big fan of anime manga and cats! I can’t stand … people walking too slowly in front of me. I don’t like barking dogs:)
- Natalia Lachowska - I like Japanese and English, I love drawing, making new friends and manga but I don’ like rude people.
- Maja Zarzycka- I’m mad about drawing and riding a bike but I hate eating... tomatoes. The awful smell of … a dishwasher makes me sick!
- Zofia Kumor – I love history and black colour, I'm crazy about Rammstein band but I’m not a big fan of crazy social life.
We are glad to write about important school events in English and let you know what’s new in our school life.
