On June, 16, classes 7b, 6b, 4a and 4b went on a school trip to two amazing places in our country: Wieliczka and Cracow, where they visited The Wieliczka Salt Mine and the zoo.
The Salt Mine in Wieliczka is a very popular destination for tourists. The place is about 700 years old. It is unique because of its atmosphere. The mine has been considered the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE since 1978.
We were so much impressed by its beauty, where the past meets the present and where salt was excavated by hand by numerous salt miners.
In the afternoon, we headed for the Cracow Zoo. Here, we could see a lot of exotic and extremely colourful creatures from all over the world, such as capybaras, polar foxes or African grey parrots. In our opinion, young penguins were the funniest animals in the zoo because they were basking in the sun so sweetly!
The trip was very educational. We have learned some interesting facts about how hard people had to work many years ago and how beautiful and breath-taking the fauna world can be.
We came back home tired, yet really excited and full of good memories!
