XIV City Game - European Day of Languages

On May 25, six representatives of our school from grades 7 and 8 took part in XIV City Game. The event was organized by School No.3 named after Józef Piłsudski in Kielce in cooperation with the Kielce Teacher Training Center and The Regional Volunteering Center.

Our students represented France. We must admit that their colourful and creative outfits attracted attention because they looked truly French, especially with French baguettes in their hands.

Our four charming "French girls" from grades 7a and 8a, Natalia, Klara, Wiktoria and Paula, represented us with some French scarf accessories, and two handsome "Frenchmen" from grade 8b, Gabriel and Maciej, with a curled moustache, goatee beards, classic berets and, of course, ties.

In the game, our blue - red - white team had to show some useful skills. They showed practical use of English in real - life situations, fine knowledge of interesting facts about European Union countries. They also had to be pretty precise in other complex tasks using the KAHOOT platform (here Paula ruled!:)).

During this event, the students could meet and greet our volunteer friends from Portugal, Turkiye and Spain, who visited our school in early May as part of "Become a Cultural Ambassador" project.

What could our schoolmates learn from the game? Undoubtedly, how to speak English fluently, how to dance a Portugese dance and how to make an Italian make - up for ladies.

For our "les Français", this special day was a great pleasure and fun, a fantastic lesson how to teamwork and how to discover new talents and skills.

We keep our fingers crossed for them! The results of the game are going to be announced in June!
