Perhaps you remember your early childhood years when your parents used to read beautiful fairy tales for you? While listening to some stories, your imagination led you to some wonderful places and many characters somehow became your best friends.
Some weeks ago, our students had an opportunity to read a few English stories aloud in front of their English teachers as the jury in BEAUTIFUL READING IN ENGLISH Competition. Before the competition, they had to spend some time practising their reading skills at home.
The participants were divided into two categories: students from classes 5 - 6 and students from classes 7 - 8.
During the competition, their fine reading skills were heard in such stories as "Tomatoes", "Sedna, the Sea Goddess", "A Secret of a Happy Brain" and "Tattoos". After the reading presentations, the participants' task was, this time in writing, to answer some questions related to the texts. It wasn't easy, however, they dealt with the task pretty well!
It was very difficult for the jury to choose the best competitors. All in all, our English teachers decided about the winners: in classes 5 - 6 category, ALEKSANDER BERNAT proved the best reader, the second place was for BARTŁOMIEJ BURAS, and the third place went to OLIWIA MAJKA and JAKUB JURKOWSKI. In classes 7 - 8 category, the winner was NATALIA BANASZKIEWICZ, NATALIA LACHOWSKA and ALEKSANDRA ŻELAZNA came second, MAJA ZARZYCKA and SZYMON ROMANEK came third.
We would like to congratulate all the competitors on their involvement! Well done!
