The youngest winners of the "Pure Heart" award are 8-year-old Paulina Orlińska and her 12-year-old brother, Grzegorz Orliński, both from our school!
The students received a special award from the Governor in the ACTION/EVENT category. Thanks to their fast reaction, the entire block of flats they live in with other residents, was saved and no one was hurt!
In July, 2025, a fire started in their apartment in Herby District because of faulty gas heater. The siblings acted bravely and in a very responsible way: Paulina called the emergency number 112, then quickly informed her mother about the situation and took her cat outside. Grzegorz warned the neighbours about the danger.
During a special ceremony in the Voivodeship Office, the Governor of the Świętokrzyskie Region, Mr. Józef Bryk, gave the kids an award and congratulated them on their courage. Words of appreciation to our school heroes and their mother were presented by Mr. Marcin Charuba, the Commander of the Provincial Fire Service in Kielce.
We also want to thank them for their amazing attitude and bravery! We are very proud of you!
