November 25 - WORLD TEDDY BEAR DAY!

World Teddy Bear Day is always on November 25 and its aim is to celebrate teddy bears as symbols of friendship, love and concern.

This special day was established in 2002 and is celebrated around the world in kindergartens, schools and also in children's hospitals where kids feel very lonely...

However, the history of the day began in 1902 when the president of the USA, Theodore Roosvelt, didn't agree to shoot a little bear during his hunting trip. This fact was an inspiration for some toy producers to create the first teddy bear to honour the president's great behaviour.

In our school, we also celebrated the day in a very pleasant way because it was also the seventh birthday anniversary of our school friend named Miś Piątek. Our students brought their favourite teddy bears to school to feel more comfortable and have fun.

In the common room, our young students sang "Happy Birthday!"  to our birthday teddy, they gave him a delicious birthday cake and beautiful handmade presents. There was a birthday party too including games, quizes and even dancing with colourful balloons!:) Drawing a teddy bear with their eyes closed was a great challenge for our students! This event was really unforgettable!
