On Monday, September, 22, Student Council Elections took place in our school. The voters in years 5-8, on Górnicza Street, had an opportunity to choose their favourite candidate.
A week before the elections, our 13 candidates had to prepare their campaign posters with their own smart ideas how to make our school life better.
The elections started at 9.45 a.m and were over at about 1.30 p.m. The students voted in a reasonable way and the School Election Commitee members (Lena Majka, Paula Maj, Lauretta Marcuch and Wiktoria Zarębska) were responsible for law and order as well as for counting all votes. Mrs. Marta Małek, our history teacher, was the coordinator of the school event.
This school tradition is very important. It helps us learn about democracy, responsibility and, of course, about teamwork.
And the winners were announced at last!:
Franciszek Jakimiak-Student Council President,
Zuzanna Wijas-Student Council Vice-President
Nicola Górecka-Student Council Secretary
Congratulations and best of luck with your new challenges!
